Leadership?

On August 16th, the mystery surrounding Upper Darby Superintendent Dr. Richard Dunlap, Jr. was solved for many in the community. Rumors began swirling in late July about his absence, but finally at Tuesday night’s School Board meeting, it was announced that, effective September 7th, Dr. Dunlap would be retiring, and that he has been on paid vacation. We encourage the elected school board members to begin a national search to identify the administrative leader who will work to unite the administrative team and then execute a well-thought-out plan for educating the more than 12,500 students enrolled in UDSD.
