UDPC Conducts Strategic Planning
At its October 2013 meeting, UDPC identified three areas of focus for its non-partisan advocacy efforts: achievement, funding and community/safety.
A Conversation on School Safety
The first UDPC initiative to stem from the strategic planning was the November 18 forum, “A Conversation on School Safety.” UDPC co-hosted the event with the District to facilitate dialogue between community members and District administrators. Elementary report card and reporting schedule revised
UDPC is advocating for a clear, easy to read report card with information communicated to parents in a timely manner. A District Report Card committee, which will include parents, will convene beginning in January. The District has made available an explanation of its current elementary progress report here.
